I have this unexplainable urge to watch the movie Iron Eagle right now. I don’t understand it but I’m tempted to search Netflix for it and reactivate my account. I haven’t seen the movie since I was a kid and I remember wanting to be that kid saving his dad with an older black guy as his mentor.

Maybe that explains why I want to watch it now (out of nowhere). Maybe I’m trying to feel like a little kid again. Maybe it’s the kid with the tape deck rocking those bad ass (and inspirational) eighties tunes. Maybe it’s the older bald black guy and his wisdom. I swear, every movie that bald black guy is in, he’s always dropping old black man wisdom. Maybe that’s what I really need in my life right now, old black man wisdom. I wonder if being bald has anything to do with it? Hmm.

Hollywood keeps remaking all these movies nowadays. Maybe they should remake Iron Eagle. They could have Michael Cera play the kid who saves his dad and rocks the headphones. Then they could get Damon Wayans to play the old bald black dude. Wait, scratch that. Damon Wayans doesn’t have the right voice. Maybe Wesley Snipes or Samuel L. Jackson. That would be cool. Cool as fuck when I think about it.

Ugh. This still isn’t helping me right now. I doubt Best Buy has it on DVD. They never have older movies that I want. I remember one time I really wanted to buy The Cell and Gia. I went to two Best Buys and neither of them had them. Around two years later, I found them at a used DVD store.

I just realized that if I find Iron Eagle on Netflix then I will HAVE to watch Top Gun right after it. Man, why am I so complicated sometimes? I guess I’m gonna go see if they’re on there because this sounds like it could be a wild night. Aww yeah!
